01 April · 19:30 – 22:30
Location: TBA (by Wednesday)

We will go over color meanings, simple herb, and weekday associations and one or two take home spells.

April and upcoming events

Happy spring all! Hey technically it’s spring!

So Friday, April 1 ( or Saturday, April 2 -we need to figure out what nights work best for most people so please sound off!)  Kassie will be teaching a Candle Magic/spell class at 7:30 pm.

The next weekend, Saturday the 9th, Kassie will be gone so the other officers are welcome to host Witches Tea at Citrus and Sage at 11 am.

April 16th or 17th we will be having a combined full moon activity with the Bridgerland Ayllu, Professor Bonnie Glass-Coffin’s Shaman group, here in Logan. We will be doing an earth centering ritual  and having a potluck, possibly at the UU church. More details to follow!!

April 22nd is EARTH day and A-day. We’ve decided to do a public ritual for that event  and to have a booth that day as well. We need ideas for a food item to sell and we will be selling bumper stickers ( “Vikings, Witches and Druids! Oh my!” usupa.org) and t-shirts/fall memberships.

For A-day please wear a plain Green Shirt and nice pants, be well groomed and well rehearsed for the ritual. This is a big deal and being an earth centric group for the most part, important that it comes off well.  We will be having rehearsals for the ritual ( yes rehearsals) that we be announced at a later date.

April 29th we will have a Pagan Movie Night again just for kicks but that brings us up to the end of the semester and we won’t be having any activities till after finals….then it’s BELTAINE, which will be a  big party. so stick around this summer if you like. We stay pretty active even then. Lots of hiking and activities to come so you won’t be bored in Logan.

Please ask questions if you have any.

Japan

With the recent earthquake in Japan it is important to remember compassion and to give when we can to help others. While most of us can not fly to japan to help with the relief efforts we can give here…five dollars will help.

Thanks guys!

Time
19 March · 18:00 – 21:00

Location
2nd dam, Logan canyon/Isaac’s place

We will host the ritual in the Logan Canyon at Second Dam. Green Canyon is still too muddy for easy access.
Afterward we will return to Isaac’s house for feasting and libation.

For those of you needing a ride please be ready at 5:30 and Kassie will pick you up ( make sure she knows where you live and that you need a ride – her psychic abilities are not that awesome) OR you can meet her at the Ranger Station at the mouth of Logan Canyon on 4th North, just before you go down the hill to 1st dam. Don’t worry about bringing food with you to the ritual we can get it after on the way to the feast.

Please Dress WARMLY under your  white Toga/sash. We don’t want any frozen pagans, even though we will have a large fire going…

If you have a figurine, memento, or symbol of a fertility God or Goddess please bring it to the ceremony – Romans respected all pantheons and incorporated many deities from other cultures into their own. [They were also a bit nervous about enraging gods that they didn't appropriately honor, so they had an entire temple to gods not yet encountered - just in case.]

The ritual will be open to anyone that would like to attend, but in order to best prepare for the feast it will be members and approved guests only. Non-members will need to provide a $1 donation to help cover the cost of food and libation.
