Oct 9 from Noon to 2 pm. SHOPPING around town ( meet at kassie’s) We need to get supplies for our cupcakes and our booth for the GLBT coming out Carnival. We will plan out what we need and then go out to get it all. We can walk to Michael’s /hobby Lobby/Halloween store from here if the weather is nice and those places should have all our supplies.
We will be evenly dividing up the cost and using club funds where possible. If we raise enough money during the bake sale then we will do our best to reimburse everyone
Oct 11 from 9 am to 3 pm- NATIONAL COMING OUT DAY at the TSC We are hosting a booth and running a game for the carnival in support of our GLBT friends and family and having a fantastic time. Everyone needs to be there for a shift. It runs from 9 am to 2 pm. we will be doing a “toss a toad” game and possibly Tarot reading.
we are going to dress up our booth with a Halloween theme and Kassie will come in ‘witch drag’. Ya’ll are welcome to as well. We will have brochures about the club and also be competing for the best booth award so come prepared and Come out as you are!!!
Oct 14 from 10:00 am to 2 pm- BAKE SALE -Come buy a cupcake from the pagans!! All members should come prepared for a shift. If you can’t make it then send your friends to buy a cupcake and help us raise money for Samhain.
Everyone should bake at least a dozen cupcakes the night before, decorate them and have them packaged for the event.
Oct 16 from 1 pm to 6 pm or whenever we are done PAGANISM IN MODERN AMERICA at USU Anthropology museum – We are helping the USU Anthropology museum with their even covering Paganism in Modern America on Oct. 16th from 1 until 5 pm (or so) 2nd floor in Old Main.
We will be helping with a discussion panel (Anya, Drew and myself) and setting up an altar and maybe doing a short ritual for people to see.
It should be a really awesome event and a great time to bring family and friends that are curious or have questions about the pagan path.
Oct 16 from 6 pm to 10 pm- PAGAN MOVIE NIGHT in Room 117 at Old Main. We will be showing “Practical Magic” and doing a short Q and A after. We should have a lot of extra people show since this will be right after the Museum exhibit. should be loads of fun though.
Oct 31 from 5 pm to 10 pm SAMHAIN RITUAL We are hosting an open Samhain ritual- open to community, friends, family and anyone curious to what one of the major pagan festivals really entails.
Costumes are welcome but warm, comfortable clothing is suggested. Also be aware that you will be around open flame so please dress carefully.
Please bring a framed, stand alone picture or item of a deceased loved one as well as an item for the potluck if you are attending.
